Executive Director
AVAILABILITY:
Immediate
CLASSIFICATION:
Exempt, Full-Time (8:00a.m.-5:00p.m.)
SALARY:
Salary is commensurate with experience
SUMMARY:
The Director of Finance and Operations oversees cost and general accounting, accounts receivable/collection and benefits/payroll administration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist the Executive Director with human resource accountabilities and compliance
2. Responsible for all finances
a. Work in conjunction with the fraternity’s Treasurer to guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
b. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by assisting the Treasurer and Executive Director in the filing of financial reports and arranging for audits as required and appropriate
c. Manage budget and report expenses effectively
d. Process all receivables and payables
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
1. Requires a BS/BA or equivalent job experience in business, or the finance or human resource related disciplines.
2. Must display working competency of components of human resource management
3. Must display working competency in generally accepted accounting principles
4. Must be PC literate
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
6. Able to work with minimum supervision
7. Customer service driven
8. Knowledge of spreadsheet software essential
9. Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
10. Able to multi-task
11. Professional appearance
12. Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them
under time constraints
13. Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and
proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines
14. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated
ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
1. Work is normally performed in a typical office work environment
2. Work is normally performed at an assigned workstation
3. Required to sit for long periods of time
4. Occasion travel required for fraternity conferences
5. Infrequent light physical effort required
6. No or very limited exposure to physical risk
